Charles E. Tiernan, III is a partner in the New Haven Law Firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. and has been affiliated with that firm since 1983. Mr. Tiernan is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and of Drake University, School of Law where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Drake Law Review during the 1981-1982 school year. He authored a note for the Drake Law Review entitled "Standing Barriers to Citizen and Taxpayers Suits in the Federal Court," 32 Drake Law Review 2, 1983. Mr. Tiernan also authored an article which was printed in the State of Connecticut Workers' Compensation Quarterly entitled "Safety and Security in the Workers' Compensation Forum," Compensation Quarterly, Vol. 5, No. 3 Summer 1995. Mr. Tiernan has been a lecturer in various seminars sponsored by the New Haven County Bar Association dealing with issues related to drunk driving and workers' compensation issues. He has also spoken before business groups including the Council on Education in Management and National Business Institute regarding issues surrounding workers' compensation. He has been an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac College since 1989 where he has taught an introductory law course and a family law course.

Mr. Tiernan is a member of the American, Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Associations and is a member of the Workers' Compensation Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association.

Mr. Tiernan's practice is concentrated in the areas of criminal defense in federal and state courts including appeals, family law and workers' compensation. Mr. Tiernan also practices before many state administrative agencies.
