Associate Attorney – Family & Criminal Law
Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante (LTKE Law) is seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4+ years of experience to join our team, focusing on Family Law and Criminal Defense. This position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful cases while working alongside a respected group of attorneys in one of Connecticut’s leading litigation firms.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, support, post-judgment matters, criminal defense, and related litigation. The role includes regular court appearances, client communication, motion practice, negotiations, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle family and criminal cases from intake through resolution
- Conduct regular court appearances, motions, hearings, pretrials, and trials
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
- Perform legal research and develop case strategy
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Keep organized case files within Filevine (training provided)
- Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and support staff
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in family law, criminal defense, or litigation
- Strong courtroom presence with the ability to appear independently
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with strong attention to detail
